Dr. Apoorva A Apoorva is a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive expertise in advanced gynaecological surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and maternal healthcare. Born on July 16, 1995, she completed her MBBS from Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences between 2013 and 2018 under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, graduating with First Class. She then pursued her M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubballi, completing it in 2023.
Dr. Apoorva has gained substantial clinical experience through her roles as Senior Resident in the Department of OBG at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences from October 2023 to April 2024, and as Registrar in the Department of OBG at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore from May 2024 to July 2024. To further enhance her skills, she completed specialized training in Basic and Advanced Ultrasound at Chikitsa Diagnostics in Mumbai and a four-week course in Urogynaecology and Non-Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy (NDVH) under Dr. YM Chandrashekar Murthy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Apoorva has actively participated in numerous workshops and conferences to stay updated with the latest developments in obstetrics and gynaecology. These include the IAP-NNF Neonatal Resuscitation Program First Golden Minute Project in 2020, the 12th Jnanaharsha PG CME at KIMS Hubballi in 2022, a CME on Postpartum Haemorrhage at JNMC Belagavi in 2022, the KSOGA 32nd Conference at KIMS Hubballi in 2022, KSCAGOICON 11th Annual Conference at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bangalore in 2022, the GYN 3D ENDO – 3D Laparoscopy Workshop at SDM College Dharwad in 2022, AICOG 2023 in Kolkata, and the 13th Jnanaharsha PG CME at KIMS Hubballi in 2023.
Dr. Apoorva has also contributed to research and academic activities. Her M.S. dissertation focused on “A Comparative Clinical Study Between Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH) V/S Non-Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy (NDVH) in Benign Pathological Conditions.” She has presented multiple papers and posters at national conferences, including KSOGA and AICOG, covering topics such as laparoscopic techniques, maternal health outcomes, and emergency gynaecology cases. Her research has been published in the MRIMS Journal of Health Sciences.
